COVID-19 and BEYOND.......

 

The East Longmeadow Rotary Club has chosen to cancel its summer festivities, due to Coronavirus health concerns.

 

It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the cancelation of the 2020 East Longmeadow Rotary Summer Concert Series, the East Longmeadow 4^th of July Fireworks and 4^th of July Parade and the East Longmeadow Carnival. It has been our pleasure to bring you these events throughout the years and it is our intent to bring them back next year. Our decision to cancel was made with the health and safety of our community in mind, as so many other communities have done in similar fashion.

 

It is the privilege of a Rotarian to serve the community and the world in good times and challenging ones. During this Covid -19 pandemic,  East Longmeadow Rotarians continue to meet the needs of our community and community at large, through financial donations to the Community Foundation of Western MA and the Pleasant View Senior Center Food Pantry, as well as the purchase of an electrostatic sprayer for the East Longmeadow Fire Department. These donations are small but meaningful steps we felt would help during this time.

 

Patriotism lives in each of our hearts, not in the display of fireworks or the sounds of carnival music.

The Rotarians of East Longmeadow would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of our service men and women, our first responders, healthcare workers and all essential workers that serve us each and every day. Have a joyous Independence Day and a very safe and healthy summer. We will see you again in 2021!
