College Scholarship Announcement for East Longmeadow High School Seniors
 
The East Longmeadow Rotary Memorial Scholarship Foundation Incorporated and East Longmeadow Rotary Foundation Incorporated are pleased to announce the release of scholarship applications for 2017 scholarships through the East Longmeadow High School Guidance office. Eligibility for application:
  • All East Longmeadow High School seniors are eligible to apply for scholarships.
  • For the Douglas Burack Culinary Arts Scholarship, the applicant must be pursuing technical school or college level training for Culinary Arts. Those already attending training/college are eligible to apply if they are East Longmeadow residents.
  • Children and grandchildren of East Longmeadow Rotarians are eligible to apply for the scholarships even if the child or grandchild does not reside in East Longmeadow.
Student applications are reviewed by a committee using the "Total Person Concept" which includes academic standing, community service, extracurricular activities and recommendation letters. Specialty-focus scholarships included in the scholarship program are culinary arts (or related field) and the music/entertainment industry. Recipients of scholarships and their guests are invited to attend a special luncheon with the Rotary Club of East Longmeadow members on June 1, 2017 from 12:15 to 1:30 at Twin Hills Country Club.  
All seniors wishing to apply should make sure they get the application from the guidance office as soon as possible to ensure submission of the scholarship before the February 25, 2017 deadline. All completed applications and required documents must be mailed to the East Longmeadow Rotary Club, PO Box 571, East Longmeadow MA 01028.
